Welcome to our Privacy Policy. Thank you for taking the time to read it.

This Privacy Policy applies to Minassa FZ LLE (referred to as “Menassa Partners ”, “we,” “our,” or “us” in this document). This policy explains our practices for handling personal information in accordance with the the Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 regarding the protection of data protection (the “UAE Law”).

2. Where This Privacy Policy Applies

This Privacy Policy applies to websites, apps, events and other services we operate. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as our “Services” in this Privacy Policy.

3. Information We Collect

We collect personal information from individuals we interact with in the course of providing our services, dealing with suppliers and as part of other activities for operating our business. We also collect personal information that individuals choose to submit to us including via our website or social media communication channels. In most cases we collect personal information from the individual to whom the information relates. However, we may also collect personal information about an individual from a client or supplier in order to conduct our business relationship with that party. 

The main types of personal information that we collect are:

  • Contact information (such as name, postal address, telephone number, and email address) relating to business contacts
  • Login credentials for our Site
  • Information we collect by automated means as further explained in the next section
  • For job applicants, personal information contained in a résumé, C.V., application and/or our recruitment template, employment history, education history, references, transcripts
  • Other personal information found in content that individuals provide (including through surveys)
  • Personal information that a client or supplier makes available for us to use in a particular services engagement

As a matter of practice, we will not collect any sensitive data relating to you. To the extent that there is a need for us to process such personal data, we will obtain your prior explicit written consent and be in compliance with UAE Law. “Sensitive data” cover, without limitation, racial origin, political, philosophical, or religious beliefs, criminal records, biometric data, or any information concerning the health of such person, including the physical, psychological, mental, genetic, or sexual status of such person, including the provision of health care services, which reveals information about his or her health status.

5. How we use the information we collect

We use personal information we have collected for the following purposes:

  • to conduct our business and meet our legitimate business interests, including:
    • Provide our products and services;
    • Maintain contact with our clients, suppliers and other business contacts;
    • Communicate with individuals about, and administer their participation in, special events, programs, offers, surveys, marketing and advertising services, and market research;
    • Perform data analyses (including anonymization and aggregation of personal information) about use of our Site and social media accounts;
    • Respond to inquiries and other communications;
    • Operate, evaluate, and improve our business (including developing new products and services; enhancing and improving our products, services, websites and mobile apps; managing our communications; analyzing our products and services; and performing accounting, auditing and other internal functions);
    • Undertake recruitment activities including process employment applications and assessing qualifications, verifying information, conducting reference or other employment-related checks, and notifying individuals of future employment opportunities that might be of interest to them; and
    • Protect against, identify, and prevent fraud and other unlawful activity, claims and other liabilities.
  • for information collected through automated means: (i) customize users’ visits to our Site, (ii) deliver content tailored to users’ interests and the manner in which users browse our Site, and (iii) manage our Site and other aspects of our business;
  • for other purposes as agreed with the affected individuals;
  • to perform, enforce and administer any agreement we have concluded; and
  • to meet our legal obligations or enforce our legal rights and for purposes permitted by law.

We will not consider information regarding an applicant’s ethnicity, race or gender, or an applicant’s choice to decline to provide it, in evaluating the applicant’s qualifications for employment with us. This personal information constitutes special categories of personal data (as defined above). Any such information that we collect will be used only for workplace equality or similar reporting and compliance purposes and we will either secure your explicit written consent at the time we collect the personal information or notify you of the basis on which we are lawfully processing such personal information.

6. Marketing practices

We may communicate with an individual about our products, services, publications, seminars or other events or activities that we think may be of interest. Where required by law, we will obtain an individual’s consent before sending them these communications. If an individual no longer wishes to receive these communications, they can unsubscribe following the details in the message or via the contact details at the end of this document.

7. Information we share

We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal information we collect, except as described in this Privacy Policy. We may share personal information with service providers who perform services on our behalf based on our instructions. We do not authorize these service providers to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements.

In addition, we may disclose personal information (i) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, (ii) to law enforcement authorities or other government entities, or (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or illegal activity. We also reserve the right to transfer personal information we have to a party or prospective party in the event we wish to sell or transfer all or a portion of our organization, business or assets (including in the event of a reorganization, dissolution, or liquidation).

8. Your rights and choices

We offer individuals certain choices in connection with the personal information we collect about them. To update your preferences, ask us to remove your information from our mailing lists or submit a request, please contact us. To the extent provided by law , you may request access to the personal information we maintain about you or request that we correct, amend, rectify, erase, delete, block, or move the information by contacting us. You may also contact us to withdraw any consent you previously provided relating to our handling of your personal information or object on legitimate grounds to the handling of your personal information. We will also ensure that you are not discriminated against for exercising any of your rights described in this Privacy Policy.

9. Data transfers

In order to undertake some of our activities, we may transfer personal information we collect to recipients in countries other than the country in which the information was originally collected. Where we transfer personal information to another country for processing by a recipient, we will require the recipient to protect the personal information received in accordance with the data protection requirements under the UAE Law and this Privacy Policy. This may include the requirement to put appropriate safeguards in place to protect the personal information. Details of any such appropriate safeguards can be requested via the “How to Contact Us” section below.

10. How we protect personal information

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or use. We also maintain safeguards to delete or de-identify personal information no longer required in accordance with law. We store your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collect the personal information (see “How We Use the Information We Collect”), except as otherwise required by law.

We will seek to promptly address your issue. You may also have a right to lodge a complaint with the authority for personal data protection in your country.

11. Links to other websites and apps

Our Site may provide links to other websites or apps for use convenience and information. These websites may operate independently from us. Linked sites and apps may have their own privacy notices or policies, which we strongly suggest you review. To the extent any linked websites are not owned or controlled by us, we are not responsible for the websites’ or apps’ content, any use of the websites or apps, or the privacy practices of the websites or apps.

12. How long we retain your information

Your personal information is retained by us in a form which permits your identification for a minimum of 5 years from the closing of your account but no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which your personal information is processed in line with legal, regulatory or statutory obligations. We retain your personal information (1) on the basis of our legitimate interest where there is an outstanding or potential issue, claim or dispute requiring us to keep information (in particular if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request asking us to preserve data (in which case we would need to keep the data to comply with our legal obligations) or if data would otherwise be necessary as part of legal proceedings); and (2) to enforce our rights and enable us to defend ourselves in the event of a claim, information on the existence of past accounts and subscriptions.

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to reflect changes in our personal information practices. We will post a prominent notice on our Site to notify of any significant changes to our Privacy Policy and indicate at the top of the notice when it was most recently updated.
